The best 7 indoor bug zapper reviews

You will see different types of indoor bug zappers and some of them might seem like they are outdoor, but they can be used indoor and outdoor as well. So, let’s get started!

The GLOUE – small zapper with the blue light
Now, this is something for everyday use and for small areas. The important thing about this particular zapper is that it’s not portable. You need to plug it in directly into the power socket, it doesn’t have cables or adapter for power. Some may find this a good thing while others will not like it. Good things about this small indoor bug zapper are that you plug it directly into the power socket, it’s small so it won’t get in a way and it doesn’t need a lot of space. This zapper may be small, but it does the job very well. We were impressed when we tried it. It worked very well and removed lots of bugs during the testing. Blue light attracted bugs constantly. It’s strong enough to attract the bugs, but not to mess with your sleep. It’s also very easy to clean – unplug it, remove the lid and clean the lid with a paper towel and it’s good to go for another round.

Hig – small and effective

If you are looking for something small that will deal with a few bugs in the room, this will do. This special and small indoor bug zapper is popular among people because you can plug it in basically anywhere. You can power it with your laptop via USB cable. That’s something that you can’t do with most bug zappers. It has 4 purple LEDs that will attract the bugs with a fan that will keep the bugs in the zapper. Since it has only 4 LEDs, it’s not really bright and can be used only in a dark area, best when you’re sleeping when there is no other light in the room. It’s fairly easy to clean, but it doesn’t have a special lid. You will have to remove the bugs directly from the grill.

Final thoughts

Pros:

  • small
  • can be powered by a laptop

Cons:

  • can be used in a really dark room
  • has only 4 small LEDs
  • cleaning can be annoying

SROCKER – silent zapper with modern design

This particular zapper has a really modern design. For some, this will probably be the best indoor UV bug zapper since it can only be powered by USB. This is probably for the younger generations who have lots od devices to plug it in. You can also hold this bug zapper in your hand and carry it around, as long as you have a power source with you (power bank). It is effective for 700 ft2 or 65 m2 and will do a good job. It has blue/purple light and can also be used as a night lamp as it provides a good amount of light. It is very silent so you can use it without a problem at night. It has a tray so cleaning is easy. It comes in black and white color which is something that we don’t see often.

Final thoughts

Pros:

  • modern design
  • covers a decent area

Cons:

  • best used in a small and dark room
  • can only be powered over the USB cable

WSTOO – something different

Here is one that completely stands out. It’s really unique and quite good. It has a “mushroom” design where you place it on the table or nightstand. The LEDs will attract the bugs and the fan will pull them inside. It collects bugs from all sides which is nice. Other than design, we can’t really say much else. It does the job in smaller rooms, but not very effective in larger areas like the living room. It is quiet so it should be used in the bedroom at night for the maximum effect. All the bugs will be hidden inside the zapper which is also easy to clean – remove the lid and empty it.

Final thoughts

Pros:

  • unique design
  • effective in smaller rooms
  • quiet
  • really easy to clean

Cons:

  • best used in a small and dark room
  • collects only smaller bugs

Fochea – quiet and powerful

This special zapper is loaded with features. Probably the most high-tech indoor bug zapper yet. It attracts bugs with blue light and carbon dioxide. It’s safe to use it around the house and the kids so don’t worry about that. It has a powerful fan that will collect the bugs which is silent. Collected bugs will never be able to escape with the triple escape-proof design. As most of these, it also attracts bugs from all sides and it can cover up to360 ft2 or 33m2, but it’s most effective in an area up to 220 ft2 or 20m2. All in all, a good bug zapper.

Final thoughts

Pros:

  • good design
  • effective in a smaller area
  • high-tech

Cons:

  • not effective in bigger rooms
  • lights not birght enough

So, what is the absolute best bug zapper?

That really depends on your needs. When looking for the best bug zapper, you need to ask yourself the following:

  • how powerful bug zapper do I really need?
  • how big is an area where I will be using it?
  • how much does it cost?

These are probably the best questions you can ask yourself. Maybe you don’t need a bug zapper, but only an indoor mosquito zapper or a small indoor bug zapper for only a few bugs. We can recommend you the best two that we liked. We really liked the first one, GLOUE. It did a very good job, it was small so it doesn’t get in way and we liked the fact that it can only be plugged into the power outlet which made things that much easier. But if you need something with more power and for outdoor use as well, we strongly recommend the Hoont which will really do a great job.

But if you need something with more power and for outdoor use as well, we strongly recommend the Aspectek which will really do a great job. It looks great, it’s easy to use, it’s not that big and the best of all, if you need it for a bigger area or take it outdoor, you can use it without a problem. It’s also very easy to clean as well.

If you still don’t know which one to take, take a look at our table that we made below. We included some of the key information about each and every indoor bug zapper that we mentioned so you can make an easy decision.
